Signature guidelines are in place due to the following:

- Overly large images are annoying in every single post a user makes.
- Large images means a larger file size.
- Larger file size means longer to load a page.
- Some people use the forum on mobile devices such as a phone, iPod, PSP.
- These mobile devices are only small and have limited cache etc which results in slower loading of pages, some/most images/text not loading.

Signature Guidelines allow images to be kept at an appropriate size, appropriate content and also allow ease of use on the forums.
